TINY ONION
Tiny Onion is an independent comics production house founded by Eisner-award winning comic writer James Tynion IV (Something is Killing the Children, The Department of Truth, The Nice House on the Lake, etc).
Our goal was to develop their existing visual branding further with their merch lines, which would be available both online and at in-person events and comic conventions all over the world.
In Tiny Onion’s foundational merch line we took inspiration from horror posters to queer liberation zines, from Halloween masks to punk show fliers.
Our continued working relationship has allowed for a consistent visual narrative across merch lines, posters, and even event-exclusive comic book covers.

Department of Truth #25
New York Comic Con Exclusive Cover
This award-winning comic series features the JFK assassination as a major plot point, and so the question we posed was “If JFK’s assassination was a show you could attend, what would it look like?” The answer was this morbid gig poster celebrating the occasion.
The design pulls heavily from old punk show flyers, especially Misfits posters & iconography. We stuck to Tiny Onion’s signature black and neon green color palette to really make everything pop.
This design was an exclusive cover, as well as a limited run poster available only at New York Comic Con (2024).
